QTS offers In-Person, In-Center proctoring only; no exam will be taken at a candidate’s residence or public area. When a candidate requests an appointment, the office personnel will instruct them to contact the college, university, or any other educational institution the exam is being held through to request the exam be sent to QTS Testing Center. Once we receive the exam, we will contact the candidate to inform them, their exam has been received by our proctoring staff, and to confirm their initial scheduled exam date. If the student does not show up for their scheduled exam date, the exam will be mailed or emailed back to the sender. It is QTS Testing Center Policy that no Employee, Tutor, Instructor, Teacher or Advisor is allowed to open any exams; all exams are forwarded to QTS Testing Center Directors or Proctors upon arrival and kept there until the student arrives at the center to be tested. All students are required to call in and schedule an appointment to take their exam.
Exams are administered by the proctor on a one-on-one basis, so for this reason, it is very important that candidates call in and to reserve a time slot with at least 24 hours notice. Appointments can be made 5 days a week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Procedure
QTS Testing Center offers separate testing stations using privacy partitions. QTS exams are proctored via live video surveillance from a separate proctor room to ensure a lack of disturbances. Cameras are situated in a way that allows an unobstructed view of the student taking the exam. Our center also provides a separate area outside the testing room for checking in candidates, as well as a waiting area. We provide a secure storage area for students to store their personal belongings; no notes, books, cell phones, etc. are allowed into the testing room. Cheat sheets and calculators will be an exception at the request of the course professor or exam sponsor. Our center provides students with scratch paper if needed; all scratch paper is labeled and numbered. No scratch paper is allowed to leave our center and all scratch paper is shredded after taking an exam.
